Urban Legends Just Ducky

Ducky is a pretty amazing dog!

We had some very specific requirements when we looked to bring Ducky into our lives……. We needed a small to medium sized dog that would excel in performance events and be able to compete in the show ring. He would have to be a confident dog because he would be living with three Central Asian Shepherds – a breed of legendary toughness. Ducky fit perfectly! Here is a partial list of Ducky’s accomplishments. Some awards have been improved upon and will be updated once we have confirmation.

  • 14 times Best In Multibreed Show
  •  ARBA Champion of Champions 2021
  •  Welt – Schonhenheits Champion Gold
  •  ARBA Senior Master Champion Gold
  •  KCUSA Senior Master Champion Gold
  •  IABCA International Champion
  •  MASCA Conformation: 2018 6th Place, 2019 7th Place
  •  MASCA Performance: 2018 7th Place, 2019 8th Place, 2020 1st Place
  •  UKC Rally Masters Champion, URX2
  •  UKC Agility Champion
  • UKC SPOT - ON

Ducky’s show success has come as a bit of a surprise (he does very well!) We bought him to excel in performance, and that is where he shines. Showing was a secondary consideration. Ducky is a high drive dog who loves to do things….. from a hike in the woods to a photo session, from a long walk or a romp in the river to his chores or his absolute favorite: frisbee. Ducky is a “doer.” He will cuddle and desires affection (belly wubs are his favorite). He communicates with his eyes and his touch. He thrusts himself into your life! One other thing about Ducky. He is fearless. At first, his breeder (Mary Ann) did not want to give us a male because she was afraid what our male Central Asians might do to him. Then she saw his character and knew that he would not fear our big boys. Our home would be perfect for him…… so we are forever thankful to Mary Ann for the Duckster!
